Current Water Rates effective January 1, 2019

  • Business: base rate of $25.91 including the first 400 Cubic Feet of water used per month, plus $3.05/100 CF for all water used in excess of 400 CF.
  • Residential: base rate of $25.91 including the first 400 Cubic Feet of water used per month, plus $3.05/100 CF for all water used in excess of 400 CF.
  • Multiple Residential: base rate of $12.96 per living unit including the first 200 Cubic Feet of water used per living unit per month, plus $3.05/100 CF for all water used in excess of 200 CF per living unit.
  • Mobile Home Courts: base rate of $12.96 per living unit including the first 200 Cubic Feet of water used per living unit per month, plus $3.05/100 CF for all water used in excess of 200 CF per living unit.


Current Wastewater Rates effective January 1, 2019

  • Business/Commercial: $7.16 flat rate per month plus $2.00 per 100 Cubic Feet of water used per month.
  • Residential: $7.16 flat rate per month plus $2.00 per 100 Cubic Feet of water used to a maximum of 1,200 CF per month.
  • Multiple Residential: $3.58 flat rate per living unit per month plus $2.00 per 100 Cubic Feet of water used per month.
  • Mobile Home Courts: $3.58 flat rate per living unit per month plus $2.00 per 100 Cubic Feet of water used per month.


Garbage/Recycling Collection effective January 1, 2019

  • Multi-Residential: $14.70 per month per unit
  • Residential:
  • $13.60 per month (35 Gallon Cart)
  • $15.70 per month (65 Gallon Cart)
  • $17.80 per month (95 Gallon Cart)
  • Mobile Home Courts: $16.45 per month per unit


Other:

  • Garbage and recycling residential walk-up service fee:  $20.00 per month, per property, weekly collection, upon request of responsible party and approval by City Administrator.  Drivers will retrieve, empty and return recycling and garbage carts, but may not enter structures.  There is a three (3) month minimum for this service.
  • Standby or base charges per month for water per business or residential property or per living unit and residential garbage and recycling whether or not garbage and recycling is collected as system still exits.  See entire Resolution adopted by the City Council listed at the end of this section for amount of charges.
  • Non-sufficient funds charge of $35.00 – No checks accepted after first offense.
  • Water reconnection fee of $100.00. The responsible party must schedule reconnect in advance per availability of city personnel.  The amount due plus the reconnection fee must be paid in full (No checks will be accepted) before service is reinstated.  If the service is disconnected due to a city project, water reconnection fee will not be required.
  • Late payment fee of $25.00 plus 1% of current overdue balance for services incurred in 2019 and for services incurred in 2018 when the payment for those services is due in 2019 or past-due in 2019. Utility bills are due before 5:00 PM on the 15th day of each month, or the business day closest to the 15th if the 15th falls on a weekend.

Is there a deposit required to sign up for services?

All renters that pay water are required to pay a $100.00 deposit.

How do I discontinue water service?

Call City Hall at (701) 252-5900 a couple of days before moving.

How is my usage calculated?

Water is measured in cubic feet. There are 7 1/2 gallons per cubic foot.

How do I set up an automatic pay account?

Customer will need to provide bank information to include routing number, checking or savings account number and name of bank.

Are meters read every month?

Yes, unless there are special circumstances such as a huge amount of snowfall or flooding issues.

What are the hours for the City Baler?

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM. The address is 3020 18th Street SE, Jamestown.
